Tell the Biden administration to stop the lease sale of Cook Inlet waters to Big Oil

Off the coasts of Alaska, the Cook Inlet is home to a variety of wildlife, including a critically endangered population of belugas and threatened northern sea otters. These species depend on clean, unpolluted waters – as do coastal communities and local economies.

But now, the ecological balance is threatened. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has been ordered to proceed with a proposed lease sale of over a million acres of waters in the Lower Cook Inlet. Oil developers are looking to buy – and if they do, they could wreak untold havoc on this ecosystem.
